I researched different student response systems (clickers) and their documented effectiveness in the classroom.

This spreadsheet is intended to be used in tallying the money that RHS's annual Charity Week Penny Wars fundraiser which brings in an average of $4000 each year. Individual assignment to create a usable classroom presentation showing effective use of Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate to students. The presentation is used to present information to students on the M.A.I.N. causes of the Great War. Some advanced features are the slide transitions or animations.

The document is used to communicate the expectations of my American History course in the beginning of each school year. Some advanced features are the use photographs, as well as audio narrating the document.

Implementing a Model Lesson Plan
Individual assignment to present a model idea-based lesson plan about the Earth's 24-hour temperature cycle using a pre-designed Internet-integrated lesson plan. Student's were asked to explore the earth's temperature cycle through Internet simulations and the use of metaphor. After the lesson was conducted, I was asked to reflect on the overall effectiveness of the lesson.

Negative Effects of Technology
Group project to explore the negative effects of technology and present our findings in a collaborative presentation. This was a very challenging tasks for educators that are personally pro-technology in the classroom, however we explored and researched different risks and dangers of technology and the effects that it can have on learning.

Individual assignment to create a web-based lesson for students. This WebQuest follows from the typical model of a webquest and is intended to help students analyze the era known as the Gilded Age. After examining many resources, students are then prompted to write about whether they think the era should have been titled the Golden Age or the Gilded Age.

StAIR Project
Individual assignment to create a Stand-Alone Instructional Resource (StAIR) that students can use on their own to learn a concept. This StAIR features a lesson on simplifying radicals and uses scaffolding to aid students in mastering the concepts. It is a large file that features animations and sound effects.

Techquest
Individual assignment to define and partially implement a project that applies technology to address actual educational needs in my own professional setting. Once I identified the need of my students to understand mathematical problems in multiple application, I wrote a series of blog posts documenting my ideas and progress on this project.
